The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – universal, inclusive and ambitious objectives – are those that guide the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, approved on September 25, 2015.
The topics they address range from poverty, hunger, peace, health, education, inequalities, inclusion, economic prosperity, protection of the planet, the fight against climate change, cities and territories, energy, sustainable consumption and production and governance.
The 17 SDGs are realized with 169 goals and their evolution indicators. The indicators will be established by the United Nations Statistical Commission in 2017.
The SDGs are the result of a negotiation process that took place after the Rio+20 Summit (2012), based on the experience acquired with the Millennium Development Goals.
